Series of works "Mensch" consisting of five sculptures.
In my series "Mensch," I work with wooden mannequins, the kind typically used as neutral aids for drawing the human body.
My goal is not to mark deviations or highlight differences. The figures are not shown as exceptions, but as a natural occurrence. They simply stand there, not symbolically exaggerated, not commented upon. In this series, the human being does not appear as a functional ideal, but as a given reality: shaped in diverse ways.
Through my interventions, the mannequins lose their original function as standardized models and become individual figures. "Mensch" understands injury, disability, and psychological shaping not as special cases, but as part of human existence. Human is human.
